HP kills a tree and dumps a 100 gallons of ink in their new viral effort. The sequel to the original HP video created by talented duo Tom Wrigglesworth and Matt Robinson, the new one is officially commissioned by HP this time. I have to agree with the commenters on Creative Review; the new one reeks of corporate influence and lacks the magic of the original.

It says this aired during the Super Bowl, but I must have missed it. What the hell was I doing? It’s another epic piece for Dove, this time by the Paris branch of Ogilvy & Mather in conjunction with The Mill. Watch as a man’s entire life unfolds, from his inception to his final realization of what it means to be comfortable in his own skin. Great art direction, copy, etc. etc.

PS: Please read what it says under the “additional info” section of The Mill’s production notes. Giggle.

Love this commercial. Where the Hell Is Matt comparisons not withstanding; it’s beautifully shot and full of buoyant energy, and it has a great soundtrack by Emiliana Torrini (an Icelandic artist of course). But will I ever visit Iceland? Heck no! People have to dance 24/7 just so they don’t freeze to death!
