A trailer for an award-winning short film by Johannes Nyholm. My artsy film critic take?
“The unique dichotomy between the clumsiness of inebriated adults and the gleefully untethered id of babies unaware of even the most basic social norms has has never been more clearly communicated in such short-form. Bravo!”
Stunning image work by RLR Advertising for Heal the Bay, a non-profit environmental group trying to restore the Santa Monica Bay. Great work RLR, but is that seriously your website?
Spoofs of the JFK assassination and 9/11 on the eve of its anniversary? This must be what they mean when people say “Pardon my French.”
Send hate mail to Courrier International and Saatchi & Saatchi, France. Learn to anticipate that, guys.

A wonderful mockumentary that follows the “treacherous” life of a plastic bag as it attempts to evade its natural predators like the the teacup Yorkie and park services. The mockumentary (VO’d by Jeremy Irons – BONUS!) was created to support the passage of AB 1998, a California bill that would ban single-use plastic bags from supermarkets, convenience stores, and other similar outlets. For more info, visit the Heal the Bay website. From The Huffington Post.
Christopher Locke works with metals, wood, plaster, clay, resins, foam, painting, drawing, and mixed media in order to create works of art with an industrial flair. Here, Locke (my favorite LOST character by the way) fashions modern fossils as a commentary about our ever-evolving technological progress. From This Blog Rules.

Lovely stuff by Dpz São Paulo that forces people to face the issue of underprivileged children. Cognitive dissonance… now there‘s a selling strategy!
Amnesty International continues their quest to save those more unfortunate than ourselves, one excellent ad at a time. The television commercial gets bonus points for using Korobeiniki in the soundtrack – otherwise known to us non-Russians as “the Tetris song”.
Point Anti-Fur Coalition. Pro-Fur Coalition: Your response?
Mega-collage-photoshop craziness for the WWF. Copy: If the ice/the trees fall, we all fall. Let’s hope the polar bear and elephant don’t slip up either.
Dutch Playmate and fetish model Ancilla Tilla titillates with a rousing strip tease before… well, I won’t give it away, but it isn’t pretty. From Revolver Media, Rotterdam for Wakker Dier, a Dutch non-profit organization for animal protection. As engaging as it is, advertising that compares humans to animals (of which PETA is famous for) is not only ridiculous, but a large reason why people have such negative opinions of animal welfare organizations. I understand they need to gather attention to their cause, but creating messages that shock are weak in concept and inevitably leave a bitter taste behind.
