An award-winning short film that channels a darker Pixar. Oh, and it’s done by students.
Excellent creative work from the aptly named agency Rethink, Canada (the “rethink” part, not the Canada part… though I have nothing against Canadians. I love Barenaked Ladies, and the band is alright too).
I’m not a huge Coldplay fan, but I am a huge fan of incredibly creative, thoughtful, and highly engaging music videos that obviously took a lot of effort. Superheros, squirrels that shoot arrows, a lionfish, and weird leg/skull creatures are only part of why this video rocks. Created by Shynola. Scoop from Nate.
If you like the style of the video, check out Tomas Mankovsky’s short film I highlighted earlier.
Remi Galliard is the hottest French import since… since probably ever, as I can’t think of anything else they’ve ever given us (Statue of Liberty? Overrated). Remi is not only is he a prankster that’s been cranking out some great virals, he’s also a magician with a soccer ball as evidenced by his latest showcase video below. His is a heart-warming story of a man overcoming being French to go on and do great things. Scooped from ETTF.
Here’s some more of his stuff. If you want even more, visit Remi’s website. Gosh, you’re so needy.
I’ve been eagerly consuming every installment of Keith Loutit’s wonderful tilt-shift videos. Here’s the fifth one in the series, confusingly titled “V.”
You owe it to yourself to check out Tomas Mankovsky’s short film. Yeah, yeah, stop-motion is old hat. But this video was filmed entirely by pointing a camera down at the floor from the ceiling. FTW. Watch it here or see some more (including a “Making Of”) at the ‘Sorry I’m Late’ website.
