If this was made in any other country other than Japan, one would easily assume this is fake. But because it is, it makes you wonder…

Thankfully, it is fake. It’s a commercial pulled from the bizarre/gory/perverse Japanese film Tokyo Gore Police. Here’s a direct quote from the director, Yoshihiro Nishimura:

I think wrist cutting is cool. The people who do wrist cutting don’t want to die. They are the people who want to live more than the others, and these cuts become a performance, a kind of theater.

He sounds like a peach. Ya gotta love the Japanese. Without them, we wouldn’t have Hay Fever Hats or Noodle Eater Hair Guards.
