Case-Mate ’2010: A Case Odyssey’

Like many product manufacturers, Case-Mate produces their products using cheap Asian labor – as this video clearly shows.

To make matters worse, the video directs users to imakemycase.com, a website where visitors design their own phone cases. As if cheap Asian labor wasn’t enough, they force average Americans like you and I to work for them for free! Outrage. I’ll probably make one and buy it.

Ross Racine, Suburb-makin’ Machine

Do you live in the ever-expanding outer ranges of your city? Then artist Ross Racine wants to scare you out. His digitally-drawn images of fictional ‘burbs take the copy-and-paste approach to housing development and runs to the extreme. Funny thing is, I swear I’ve driven through some of these before.

Somehow, I feel Racine, Christopher Locke and Josh Keyes would have a hell of a time if in the same studio. Or a thoughtful, mildly depressing time. Whatever.

HP kills a tree and dumps a 100 gallons of ink in their new viral effort. The sequel to the original HP video created by talented duo Tom Wrigglesworth and Matt Robinson, the new one is officially commissioned by HP this time. I have to agree with the commenters on Creative Review; the new one reeks of corporate influence and lacks the magic of the original.
