You need a big mouth to put this hunk of meat in your mouth. <knee slap> I tell my girlfriend that all the time!
Energizer introduces a series of entertaining animated vignettes highlighting their “ability to last longer.” Why the quotations? The videos cite nice figures, such as “lasts 65% longer”, or “20 hours longer”. But the videos aren’t comparing Energizer batteries to the competition (as you would assume), but to Energizer’s own line of batteries. The beauty of fine print, ladies and gentleman! Oh well. Fun stuff that is probably TBWA’s first campaign for Energizer since they won the global biz.
One of my favorite illustrators, McBess, has teamed up with digital agency Syzygy to produce a visual puzzle depicting 20 “things” that happened on the Internet in 2010. Win your own here.
I don’t typically post showreels on this blog. But when you have a one the best in the biz putting together an incredible reel, you do it. The Mill is a fantastic production and special effects company behind some of this blog’s favorite ads, including Das Handwerk’s Craft, Adidas’ Star Wars Cantina, DirecTV’s Opulence, and yes, even Nike’s Write the Future and Old Spice’s The Man Your Man Could Smell Like.
Much love.
Timba Smits (sweet name) is a London-based “graphic designer, artist, illustrator, independent publisher, self confessed magazine whore and wannabe olympic ping-pong playa”. He’s also got a thing for all things vintage, which is probably why he uses his amazing half book, half magazine Wooden Toy Quarterly as another outlet. Enjoy.

You may have seen it before, but here’s a wonderful “why didn’t I think of that” campaign by Brazil’s DM9DDB for Sasxofunny Sound Production Company. Great, great stuff. Via Illusion 360.

Ray-Ban collaborated with nine talented designers to create a series of posters for their ‘Never Hide’ campaign. Each designer received a uniquely patterned pair of sunglasses from which to base their design on. Hot stuff. Scoop by Creative Criminals.

Another incredibly impressive music video by Edouard Salier, this time a “prequel” to his previous video (for Massive Attack’s “Splitting the Atom” at the bottom of this post). Boy is it a worthy followup; which is saying a lot since “Splitting the Atom” is one of my all-time favorite music videos.
Dark and badass stuff (despite the bunny). From Motionographer.
CGI and super slow-motion are awesome by themselves. With their powers combined, you get this bad-ass trailer for Microsoft’s latest Sony/Nintendo killer, Fable III.

Vodafone utilizes anamorphic art (images only seen from a certain perspective) to great effect. The style has been around forever, but recently it’s been popularized by folks like Julian Beever.
Trippy! By Colenso, BBDO.
