A bit old hat but totally worth a revisit, Civilization is an amazing video mural by Marco Brambilla that takes you through the different levels of hell to heaven, as interpreted through “300 individual channels of looped video blended into a multi-layered seamless tableau of interconnecting images that illustrate a contemporary, satirical take on the concepts of Heaven and Hell.” It’s installed at the Standard Hotel in New York City. I know where I’m staying next time I’m in the Big Apple.
